The collaborative intervention is under the Community Development Project to enable children learn trade that can make them self-reliance, and employable where necessary.

The DCE said the idea was to help students who for some reasons could not afford to further their education to have the opportunity of becoming useful to themselves and society through the skills acquired at the centre.

Beneficiaries have therefore been enrolled to study hairdressing, catering, carpentry, electrical engineering and plumbing.

She indicated that the facility has been there for a long time with few teachers and students, so they decided to employ more teachers and also enroll more student for free, adding that the source of fund for the project was from the MPs Common Fund.

Mrs. Reckling said they are trying to find a way to solicit funds for machines and materials they will need to effectively go through the training and the Assembly is also helping with structures.

She advised her colleagues to collaborate effectively and efficiently with their MPs to help develop their communities, districts and constituencies to develop the nation as a whole.

She called for investors to come help develop the district.
