DCE donates school furniture to Ada West Educational directorate
The District Chief Executive for Ada-West district assembly, A.L Akrofi has donated over 450 dual student desks, 9-Teacher desk with chair to the Educational Directorate.

Speaking to News Made in Ada Online, he said the donation forms part of the responsibilities of the Assembly adding that he instructed a team to conduct a survey on educational needs upon his appointment as DCE by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. "With free education policy being one of the biggest achievements of the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government, it is best we keep this legacy."
He said the basic schools in the district would need about 5,000 student desks to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Hon. Akrofi urged the teachers to ensure effective maintenance of the furniture for longevity.
"The Assembly is grateful to the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) for the support.
“I would also like to use this medium to appeal to philanthropists and other corporate bodies to support the Assembly in its quest to provide basic school infrastructure in the Ada West enclave."
"I advise that teachers and pupils strictly adhere to the covid-19 protocols spelt out by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) which includes; wearing of a nose mask, sanitizing our hands, social distancing, frequently washing our hands with soap and under running water."
