The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu was in attendance and scheduled to address the audience on this occasion.

In his address the Regional Minister noted that, from a humble beginning of 9 buses or so since its establishment in 2008, JEOUN VIP Transport Company now has in excess of 600 buses in their fleet that ply our roads from Accra and Kumasi to the rest of the country's major towns and cities and even beyond.

 Alhaji Shani said this at the commissioning ceremony of a state-of-the-art, new terminal in Tamale located near Ambariyya Central Mosque along Tamale-Bolga highway.

He used the occasion to appeal to the Directors of the transport company to deploy new and morden buses to serve the people of Tamale and indeed Northern Region and its neighboring Regions. 
  

The  Minister  however cautioned drivers and other road users to be extra vigilant on the roads and respect all road traffic safety protocols to help reduce the otherwise avoidable carnage on our roads that have sadly claimed tens of thousands of precious lives, especially during festive occasions like the upcoming Christmas festivities.  

     

Meanwhile, the overlord of Dagbon, His Majesty Naa Bukari ll was represented by His Royal Highness, Nanton Naa Bawa, as the Special Guest of Honor and chairperson for the occasion.
