NRCC staff trained on client service operational manual

The Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC) has hosted a comprehensive training session on the client service operational manual of the local government service.

The event, held at the NRCC's conference hall, aimed to equip staff with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective service delivery.

The training which was facilitated by Mr. Gabriel A. Apae Nyelom (Assistant Director) and Mr. Ahmed Benette Mumuni, the Human Resource Manager of the NRCC follows an earlier sensitization program conducted by the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) from August 9-10, 2023.

During this program, selected Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) and Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) were introduced to the newly developed Client Service Unit Operational Manual (CSUO).
Mr. Gabriel A. Apae Nyelom emphasized the importance of the session in enhancing staff capabilities to fully implement the CSUO manual. "The training is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for staff to excel in client service management as outlined in the manual," he stated.

Participants were trained on various aspects of client service, including decentralization, client service management, operational structure, electronic complaint handling, compliance monitoring, and procedures for dealing with visitors, enquiries, complaints, and feedback.

Mr. Ahmed Benette Mumuni urged attendees to apply their newly acquired knowledge immediately. "Use all the client service forms provided and adhere to all protocols in attending to visitors and clients," he advised.

This, he noted, is essential for achieving the Local Government Service's vision of becoming a world-class client-oriented organization.

The training is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the NRCC's client service unit, ensuring that the highest standards of service are consistently met.
