According to her, the district has very fertile arable lands for all kinds of agriculture production.
She said the district is currently one of the food baskets supplying agriculture produce to the capital Accra and there is room for increased production with the right investments.
The DCE assured that the Assembly is ready to offer the necessary assistance to investors in line with government policy on improving agriculture which is evident in the policy initiatives including Planting for Food and Jobs, Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) among others.
The area is also known for oil palm plantation and the Assembly through the agricultural directorate has been distributing palm seedlings to interested farmers especially for the past six years since the assumption of this current government.
The DCE said people use the opportunity of free seedlings to reclaim lands from which sand was wined for the establishment of palm plantations and the opportunity still abounds for individuals who also intend to venture into it.
