Lambussie-Karni confirms District Chief Executive

Mr. Ben Kofi Dy-yaka, a 36-year-old teacher, has been confirmed as District Chief Executive of Lambussie-Karni.

He polled 25 votes out of 34, representing 74 percent.

The confirmation of Mr. Dy-yaka brings to three the number of the President’s nominees confirmed so far in the region with the fate of four hanging.

Mr Dy-yaka thanked the President, the Regional Minister and his Deputy, Assembly members and traditional rulers for their support and promised to work closely with Assembly members and all stakeholders to implement the œBetter Ghana Agenda in a manner that would further improve on the quality of life of the people.

Mr. Dy-yaka said he would take a critical look at the pertinent issues affecting teachers in the district in order to have them addressed as a way of contributing to high academic performance in the district.

Mr. Abu Kabiebata Kansangbata, Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, appealed to him to foster unity in the Assembly and cooperate with traditional rulers and so that together they would succeed in implementing the President’s vision for the district.
