BIBIANI: GNPC Foundation inspects ongoing projects in Bibiani Municipality

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation with its core mandate to impact the lives of the ordinary Ghanaians through community and social intervention programmes has embarked on a day working tour of ongoing projects funded by the Foundation within the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality.

The tour which was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Mr. Alfred Amoah saw the Paramount the chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, who doubles as a board member of GNPC, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II and the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation Dr. Dominic Eduah among several others.

Some of the projects visited were, the ongoing mechanized borehole at Pataboso, 12- seater pour-flush toilet at Sefwi Tanoso, ongoing construction 2-story building for Bibiani Nursing Training School College at Bibiani Kwamekrom, 20-seater toilet facility at Bibiani Market, an ultra-modern Science Laboratory and Six unit classroom block at Bibiani Senior Technical School (BSTS).



The rest are a six-unit classroom block at Queen’s Senior High School at Sefwi Anhwaiso, a 20-seater toilet facility at Sefwi Anhwiaso.

Per inspection, most of the projects were at the completion stage, some at roofing level and others were almost ready for commissioned and hand over to the various communities for use, particularly the 20-seater pour-flush toilet at Bibiani Market, an ultra-modern Science Laboratory at Bibiani Senior Technical School (BSTS) and Six unit classroom block at Queen’ Senior High School.

Dr. Eduah, addressing the media after the tour, told Ghana News Agency that, the objective behind the visit to inspect various projects in the Municipality to ascertain the current stages of the projects and abreast their various challenges facing the contractors.



According to him, the tour forms part of the GNPC Foundation periodic move to have a first-hand information and also to access the performance of the contractors on sites.

Ogyeahoho Gyebi, who is also the President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs, advised the contractors to desist from any shoddy work and charged on the consultant to speed up works and to finish between their schedules.



On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Mr. Alfred Amoah thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi and the Executive Director Dr. Eduah for the numerous development in the Municipality.

He was grateful to benefit from these countless projects from the Foundation and assured the team for regularly monitoring to ensure quality work.
