KPANDO: DCE commissions 6-unit classroom block

The District Chief Executive of North Dayi, Mr Edmund Kudjo Attah, today commissioned and handed over a six unit furnished classroom block with office and sanitation facilities to the Kpando Bame pupils and teachers for use.

The project, which was financed by the Pencils of Promise, a Non - Governmental Organization (NGO) is expected to help improve teaching and learning in the area.

The DCE, in his speech, expressed gratitude to the team, and advised the beneficiary community to adopt maintenance culture which has become a canker most communities.


He also highlighted on key interventions that His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP government has introduced to ensure free but quality education to every Ghanaian child regardless of one's tribe, colour or religion.

The DCE also reiterated his commitment to enhance education by initiating an award scheme to motivate hardworking pupils.

He donated Waste bins to the school and promised to support them with computers, other educational materials and also pledged to ensure the extension of electricity to the facility to enhance effective teaching and learning.


Speaking on his behalf, the district director of education also expressed his gratitude to the NGO for such a wonderful gesture and advised the community and pupils to embrace it wholeheartedly.

Also in attendance were resident Parish Priest of the Roman Catholic Church, chiefs and queen mothers of the area and some Kpando constituency NPP Executives.
