DCE advices tailors to put their skills to use

The District Chief Executive of Builsa South in the Upper East Region, Daniel Kwame Garia, has called on members of the Tailors Association at Fumbisi during a passing out ceremony to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and discipline in them and also put to practice what they have learnt over the period.

He said this will benefit the people in the District and the youth to create a generational wealth of good citizens, and furthered it by also encouraging them to continue to learn to improve on their skills to make them competitive in this competitive world.

The DCE touched on some Governmental interventions under the Rural Enterprise Programme which allows them to apply for matching grant loans to improve their businesses as well as the MASLOC loans which is open to them.



“The best way to financial independence is to establish your own skill trade and staying committed to making it work” he added.

Speaking at the ceremony he said the Akuffo Addo led administration is determined to improve the lives of Ghanaians through such innovative ideas and said, this is in line with his vision to empower women.



The DCE disclosed to them that MASLOC is one of the institutions President Nana Addo’s government is placing much premium to stand the test of time and rub shoulders with the world’s standard microfinance institutions.

He said the government is fully out to resource the poor and improved livelihoods.
