DCE refutes claims of bussing strangers

The District Chief Executive of Builsa South Daniel Kwame Gariba, has denied claims from his political opponents of engaging of transporting strangers, foreigners to the district to register for the voter identification card.

He explained that these people that are referred to as strangers are teachers who teach at various schools within the jurisdiction in the constituency, and as a result of the school closure they relocated and now they are in to embark on the registration exercise.

"The laws governing the registration is clear that anyone who is not a Ghanaian is not permitted to register and applicants who are not residents of a particular constituency or electoral area are not allowed to register and so as far as the person resides in the locality, he or she is not forbidden from registering he added".

Mr.Gariba reiterated his commitment to finding solutions to the developmental challenges in the district to ease the difficulties of the people, and urged them to have faith in him and the Akufo Addo government.
