Construction of Gbedemblisi dam underway

Work has resumed on the construction of the Gbedemblisi Dam in Builsa South district of the Upper East region.

In an interview with the District Chief Executive for the area, Daniel Kwame Gariba, he disclosed that due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, construction work was interrupted, but upon a visit to the place yesterday, he saw a hub of activities.

He revealed that the casting of concrete foundation, the weaving of mats, and iron columns are underway.



Mr. Gariba said work will be intensified in the coming weeks to make up the loss of which it will be completed by the end of the month.

He said the source of funds was from the one million per constituency and promised that the project will be one of the biggest Dam in the country when completed.
