Work commences in five communities- DCE
The Bongo assembly has handed over five new projects values at Ghs 1,943,000.00 to various contractors to commence work in some communities in the district.

The project which is under the government one million US dollar per constituency initiative included mechanized borehole, renovation of teachers quarters, construction of nurses quarters and a community base health planning services (CHPs) compound.
The DCE Peter Ayimbisa Ayamga during the handling over disclosed that for the year 2020, the district was expected to receive Ghs 4,147,887.5 from the USD one million per constituency earmark project in the area.
He further noted that the assembly will not countenance poor work from contractor and stress that work will be monitored to ensure that value is given to the money.
The DCE also disclosed that a dilapidated teachers quarters at Adaboya D/A primary school will receive a major facelift with renovation work being under taking at the tune of Ghs 400,000.00 .
Mr. Ayimbisa gave the cost of a mechanized borehole at Ayopia community a Ghs 30,000.00, disclosed that a total number of 32 such borehole has been earmark to be constructed in the community accross the district.
He asked the beneficiary communities to play their watch dogs roles by monitoring the proper execution of the projects, to ensure that value is given to money.
The district works engineer Mr. Aruk stated that a seven member water management committee will be constituted for each of the boreholes that will be constructed to ensure that that are regularly mentained for its longivity.
