Mr. Yeboah secured 36 affirmative votes out of the 44 votes cast by Assembly Members, representing more than the constitutionally required two-thirds majority needed to assume office.

His election brings an end to months of uncertainty after earlier attempts by the Assembly to elect a Presiding Member failed to produce the required threshold for victory.

Addressing the Assembly after his election, Mr. Yeboah expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to promote unity, transparency and consensus-building in the administration of the Assembly's affairs.

He assured members of his commitment to working closely with the Municipal Chief Executive, Assembly Members, traditional authorities and other stakeholders to advance the municipality's development agenda.

The Sanaahene of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Baffour Kwadwo Damoah Afari, commended Assembly Members for the successful election, noting that the appointment of a Presiding Member would facilitate smooth governance and accelerate development initiatives in the municipality.

The Dormaa Central Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Nar-ire P. David, also praised members for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise.

Mr. Yeboah's election has been widely welcomed by stakeholders, with many describing his background as an education professional as an asset that could contribute positively to policy discussions, community engagement and local governance.
