MCE visits accident victims
Mr Glibert Kennedy Asmah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Tarkwa Nsueam, has visited victims on admission at the Tarkwa Municipal and Apinto Government hospitals.

Many on admission were involved in the motor accident that claimed seven lives between Dompim and Bonsaso on the Tarkwa-Takoradi Highway.
At both hospitals, the MCE met some survivors of the accident and commiserated with them.
On September 17, 2018, around 1630 hrs, a Mercedes Benz sprinter bus transporting 57 pupils of Learners Bridge Academy and their teachers from Dompim to Ahwetieso after close of school collided head on with a tipper truck.
Mr Asmah said 14 pupils were admitted at theApinto Government Hospital.
He said eight of the victims whose condition have been stabilized were on admission at the children's ward, whiles five were at the emergency ward receiving medical attention.
At the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital, 37 victim were admitted, 19 were treated and discharged, two died and 10 are still on admission, Mr Asmah said. The MCE said six of the victim's were taken tothe Agona Nkwanta Hospital where four died and the remaining two were referred to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi.
He said six of the victim's which include a five-year-old boy whose right arm was fractured have been referred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching hospital in Kumasi, 37 military hospital in Accra and Cape Coast Regional hospital.
He commended the staffs of the various hospitals for the prompt attention they gave to those on admission. Mr Asmah also expressed appreciation to the mining companies for providing ambulances to transport all the victims that were referred.
