Live in a clean and safe environment - Agona West MCE

The issue of sanitation was a major constraint in Agona West due to the inability of refuse vans/trucks to access the roads at the landfill site, almost every community's waste disposal trunk overflowed and choked with waste.

However, following additional consultations with various stakeholders and technocrats, a solution of building a culvert, restructuring the existing route, and expanding it to the inner perimeter was adopted.

Agona West Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE) Evans Addison Onomah Coleman inspected the final stage of work being done at the landfill site, along with the Municipal Coordinating Director, Municipal Finance Officer, Municipal Engineers and Municipal Environmental Health And Sanitation Officer. Indeed, work has advanced steadily in terms of quality and efficiency.

The MCE said, the entire municipality deserves to live in a clean and safe environment free of domestic waste and pollution that can harm the people living in the municipality.

He said, it's everyone's responsibility to help keep the Municipality clean.
