Krachi East holds Town Hall meeting

The Information Services Department in collaboration with the Municipal assembly has organised a town hall meeting at St Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in Dambai in the Krachi East municipality of the Volta region.

The meeting, aimed at interacting with the various segment of the society also created a platform for them to ask relevant questions on development issues and the utilisation of the government and the assembly resources to relieve lives.

The programme also highlighted government's flagship policies such as planting for food and jobs, nations builder’s corps (NABCO), free SHS among others.

It also created an opportunity for the citizenry to be involved in local decision making processes which are key tenets of good governance.

Mr Stephen Adai, Regional Director for Information Service Department said, government was taking steps to ensure the free SHS policy was sustainable.

He urged them to take advantage of government policies to better their lots.
