PRU: Abease Traditional area to get potable water - Minister

Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Joseph Kofi Adda, had said by the end of 2019, residents of Abease Traditional Area in the Pru West Constituency would be provided with portable water.

According to the Minister, Abease Traditional Area has about fifty (50) rural communities with an estimated population of 52, 592.

He added that out of that number, twenty-one (21) communities have access to portable drinking through boreholes fitted with hand pump representing 36.5 percent of the population.

Mr. Speaker to ensure that all the communities are supplied with potable water in line with, “Water for All” agenda of government, the Ministry has tasked the Governing Board of Community Water and Sanitation Agency to develop a comprehensive plan to source funding that would bring water to the People”, he added.
