Madam Josephine Awuku Ansaa Inkoom, the District Chief Executive for Ayensuano in the Eastern Region has given hope to residents that the Assembly is on course with the maintenance of internal road networks as they can attest to; while interventions on the feeder roads are also on course with some contractors already on site.

She said the Assembly owing an earth moving machine (Grader) has been of immense benefit ensuring that they regularly reshape bad roads to make them motorable especially town roads they continue with their efforts to ensure government fulfills its part.
The DCE said she is not oblivious of the fact that the road network remains the major concern of people in the district; and she has not relented in pushing for actions on them.
For her, with the three zones that the Ayensuano District is divided, their main road problem has to do with the 36kilometer Nsawam road that leads to the district capital.
The other two, Anum Apapem and Asuboi zone starting from Teacher Mante – Apietu Fianko are both highways and are therefore tarred.
Government in 2018 awarded the broad contract and the contractor came to site to start work only to abandon it later.
However, through her efforts, the road Ministry has awarded the road to two new contractors with 15 kilometers and 22kilometers respectively.
The contractor with the 15 kilometer has mobilise to site and currently working Ekurafitaa Junction to Asanmankese road, the one with the 22 kilometers from Bonkua- Ekurafitaa Junction to the district capital, Coaltar has not been forthcoming and it was later realized there was problem with his classification, so a move was made to secure another contractor.
Luckily, she said one of the renowned contractors in the country has accepted to take up the project. What is left however is for the contract to be signed for him to move to site.
She said the contractor even suggested that if he could be given a letter of comfort to give him the assurance that that road project would be given to him, he would move to the site.
Madam Josephine Inkoom expressed hope that sooner or later, everything would fall in place and the contractor will be on the remaining 22 kilometer stretch of the road.
