During a brief speech, the District Chief Executive (DCE) Seth Kwasi Agbi emphasized that these desks would offer a glimmer of hope to numerous students in the district by addressing the shortage of furniture in schools. The DCE expressed hope that the desks would be utilized for their intended purpose.
Upon receiving the desks, the District Education Director expressed gratitude to the DCE for his substantial support and interest in education within the district. She expressed a desire for more similar support to benefit additional schools. Accompanied by some headmasters and teachers, the Education Director accepted the donation from the DCE.
Schools were then called up individually to collect their allocated desks. The teachers' faces reflected joy, hope, and renewed determination, indicating that the desks would not only provide physical comfort but also act as catalysts for improved learning environments.
A headmaster from one of the beneficiary schools expressed that the DCE's support not only addressed a pressing issue in the education system but also reinstated a belief in the power of compassion and communal support. This gesture underscored the vital role of leaders in enhancing the lives of their constituents, particularly the most vulnerable.
