Nana Ayisi Kwoffie, who spoke to the ghanasiatricts.com in an interview, said the people pleading to the government to award the roads on contract to facilitate the movement of passengers and goods.

He said due to the poor road, farmers cannot transport their goods to the other communities as transport owners also refuse to ply the routes for fear of damaging their vehicles on the bumpy roads.

He expressed worry about the negative activities of chainsaw operators in the area, especially the wanton destruction of the forest and farms as well as the destruction of roads by heavy timber trucks.

Communities along the Bawdie-Asankragua main road are the most affected with deplorable feeder and town roads in the District.
