Subiri Basic School Appeal for Toilet Facility

Students of Subiri Anglican Basic School in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region are calling on the government and Municipal Assembly to provide them with a toilet facility.

The two schools with an estimated population of about a thousand students do not have a toilet facility.

It noted with regret that because of the situation, teachers and students defecate in the bush, which is a death threat to their lives.

Investigation indicates that since time immemorial, authorities of both the Primary and the Junior High schools have severally complained to the community, but they have remained adamant over the situation.

In an exclusive interview with an anonymous source within the school and some aggrieved students, the situation is very worrisome, making staying at the school’s premises very difficult.

“The issue in our school here has been a great challenge to the student body and the entire staff, but the authorities of the community have since remained quiet for reasons only God knows. This situation can only be arrested by the interventions of the government and all stakeholders,” They lamented.

However, the students have further appealed to authorities to come to their aid in building toilet facility for the school.
