Akatsi South to create business database

The Akatsi South District Assembly is to create a business database to help in its revenue projections and to facilitate revenue mobilization.

The Akatsi South District Chief Executive, Leo-Nelson Adzidogah made the disclosure at a meeting with assembly members and indicated that the assembly will soon begin the registration of all businesses in the district in fulfilment of this laudable effort.

According to him, a Zonal Council level teams will soon be constituted to undertake this exercises.

He also announced the commencement of the sale of assembly stickers for vehicles and motorbikes soon to ensure easy identification of vehicles from the district and bring sanity to their operations.

To this end, Mr. Adzidogah disclosed that Driver Unions and the market women in the central business district have agreed to relocate to the Akatsi market. And in the spirit of enforcing discipline and for sanity, an overseer will be appointed to enforce the bye-laws of the assembly to ensure law and order.

Meanwhile, the DCE announced that he was in discussions with Board of Avenor Rural Bank to assist in the construction of structures in the Akatsi market. Additionally, an ] indigenous bank is proposing to build stores in the market on Build, Operate and Transfer basis for rental.
