The project, which was funded by ‘Madamfo Ghana’, a non-governmental organization is expected to serve as the community’s only source of potable drinking water when duly completed and handed over for use.
He therefore lauded ‘Madamfo Ghana’ for the project and also used the opportunity to call on other NGOs to emulate their kind gesture and come to the community’s need.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Assembly Member also called on the Assembly and the government for that matter to come to their rescue as the community is faced numerous infrastructural challenges.
“We are facing challenges such as bad road networks, unavailability of portable drinking water, Electricity among others but at least we thank God through my consistent lobbies to all philanthropists and NGOs we finally have water “he added.
He noted that the borehole would help reduce health issues associated with drinking unclean water and also save time and resources involved in searching for water from kilometers away from the community.
The assembly member concluded by assuring that the project will be put to good use.
