Akatsi South to have biscuit, cassava processing factory
According to Mr. Leo-Nelson Adzidogah, District Chief Executive of Akatsi South, one of the important thing to do to ensure the district benefits from the “One district, One factory” initiative is to make land available for interested investors to site their factories.

The DCE has therefore made a passionate appeal to the assembly members to help in achieving that.
Mr. Leo-Nelson Adzidogah’s appeal follows a disclosure to Assembly members at the third session of the seventh assembly that the district under the one district one factory project is likely to benefit from a biscuit factory.
“An investor met me last week with an introductory letter from the Ministry of Trade and Industry seeking to partner the district to establish biscuit factory using maize. The company is also proposing to process cassava into chips for industrial use. They require a sixty (60) acre plot for the project”, he announced.
Similarly, he said, it is likely two more investors from China might visit the district on a similar investment drive. “The most important thing for us to do as an assembly is to look for land”, he stated.
