The DCE made the appeal when he paid courtesy call on chiefs in the district.

The DCE’s visit to the chiefs individually in their palaces afforded him the opportunity to officially introduce himself to the chiefs and notify them of his assumption of duty. The new DCE also used the occasion to share his vision and listen to the plights of the people to help informulating measures to address them.

Mr. Dennis Frimpong assured the chiefs of working to improve the socioeconomic lives of the people in the district.

He said traditional authorities being custodians of the land have major roles to play in the administration of the district and urged them to avail their ideas that will help address challenges confronting the district.

He said the Government is poised on delivering on its promises to the people of Ghana and the Agona East District Assembly will take the necessary steps to ensure they have their fair share of developments.

Meanwhile, the chiefs have assured the DCE of their readiness to offer the needed assistance to the assembly in all its works.
