In a statement signed by the Mmrantehene (Youth Chief) of Awutu Bontrase they are sick and tired of sharing water with livestock in the community on daily basis for their survival.

Nana Kwame Larbi in a further telephone conversation with this reporter said several letters and appeals made to both the MP for the area, Mr George Andah and his colleague the DCE, Mr Stephen Quaye to come to their aid have proven futile hence their disappointment.

The youth are threatening to advise themselves in 2020 general election if their only plea for the provision of a portable drinking water is not adhered to by the authorities this year, 2019.

The residents of Awutu Bontrase on daily basis use the same polluted stagnant water for all their household chores including drinking, washing, cooking and other household activities which poses a long term hazard to their health.
