Training of citizens in digital skills
Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has commenced a digital skills training program for 25 persons in the Akontombra district.

The two-week training program was held at the Akontombra ICT Center for Women Entrepreneurs, school dropouts and leavers, students, youth, and persons with Disability to acquire basic skills in Cisco Get Connected, Entrepreneurship, and Introduction to IoT.
Speaking on behalf of the District Chief Executive (DCE) Amoah Yawson, on Day-3 of the training, Mr. William Anane the Administrative Officer highlighted some achievements made by the Fund through strategic partnerships with the District Assembly.
He encouraged trainees to leverage the program to enhance their skills in ICT and business in general.
He reiterated the District Assembly’s commitment to supporting innovative programs and called on relevant stakeholders to lend support to such activities.
