He said this during a speech delivered by him as the special guest of honor for the 11th congregation of the St. Joseph's Teachers College of Education (JOSCO) in Bechem.
The graduation ceremony combined the successful completion classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 academic years.
Among other issues, Honourable George Boakye pledged his full support to the school's administration for the successful running of the only tertiary institution in the Ahafo Region.
He commended his former colleagues for holding the fort since he left the school twenty years ago regardless of the numerous challenges they faced.
He recounted the numerous roles of the teacher toward the sound development of the child.
Honourable George Boakye without mincing words made it clear that he was going to use his influence as a Regional Minister to ensure that the College gets the necessary upgrading in terms of infrastructural development as well as academics.
He again appealed to the College's governing council and administration to help him actualize his vision of training at least five teachers per district under the sponsorship of the various district assemblies in the Ahafo Region.
In congratulating the graduates for their hard work, the Ahafo Regional Minister urged them to accept postings to where ever their services would be needed in order to ensure equitable distribution of teachers across the country.
He charged them to be models of high moral standards in the communities they would find themselves in since that was the best way to deal with the growing indiscipline within the Ghanaian society.
