It is his second attempt having fell short of obtaining the mandatory two-third majority of votes to become the DCE in his first attempt about two weeks ago.

Mr. Martin Polled 49 votes, representing 90.7 per cent, with 5 votes against him.

He was subsequently sworn into office by the Brong Ahafo regional Minister, Lawyer Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh.

Drawing lessons from what transpired the first time, there were heavy security presence made up of police and soldiers to safeguard the process from any intruders.

In his acceptance speech, he showed a great depth of gratitude to president Nana Addo, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Lawyer Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh, electorates, and family for the confidence reposed in him and also thanks members of the Federation of Disability Organization and Ghana Society of Physical Disability as he dedicate this honorable day for them.

He called for collective effort in bringing development to the area irrespective of party and ethnic affiliations.
