The CHPS compound was built by the Atiwa West Member of Parliament, Amoako Atta but electricity was not extended to it so it was difficult using it.

However, the District Assembly in its efforts to bring health delivery to the doorsteps of residents decided to intervene to see to it that what is lacking particularly electricity is provided to the facility

CHPS compounds are particularly important to rural communities because they offer primary health care and offer alternatives to residents of rural communities travelling long distances to access heath delivery.

Even where health cases require greater attentions, CHPS centres provide first aid to patients to keep them alive or proper shape before they are referred to hospitals.

They are also very effective in maternal health delivery since that forms their basic function and help in the fight against maternal and infant mortality.
