She visited the newly constructed office annex for the National Health Insurance Scheme which at the time of her visit was at being used by staff of the scheme.

Madam Abayage extended her inspection tour to a 1,000 metric tone ware house in the Pusu-Namongor vicinity which was roofed and fitted with an aluminium roller main gate. The facility comes under the government’s 1-District, 1–Ware House policy and has two separate additional buildings serving as offices and changing rooms.

The day’s rounds ended at the newly constructed Awaradone CHPS compound also in the Talensi District which has since been furnished and in use.

The facility has five rooms comprising a delivery room, lay-in area, a store, an out-patient department and labour room among others.

Meanwhile, the Minister has cautioned public and civil servants to stay off partisan politics in as far as they remain staff and workers under institutions of state categorised as such.

She was addressing staff of the assembly prior to her tour of projects in the district.

The Minister emphasized that, public and civil servants were duty-bound and obligated to work for and assist the government of the day to succeed in delivering its mandate to the people. She added, “It is against normal practice and against the rules of engagement for you as civil servants, to meddle in party politics and there will be serious consequences for such errant civil servants”.

This marks the end of phase one of the minister’s region-wide working tour to all the 15 municipal and district assemblies across the region. She had already visited six districts in the eastern corridors of the region from 3rd to 4th September, 2019.
