Presenting the desk, District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr. Agbanyo Wilson, emphasized on the need to support schools with the needed logistics to enhance teaching and learning, adding that he is committed to improving education in the district to complement President Akufo Addo's pledge of ensuring that every Ghanaian child has access to quality education.
He said the gesture is a result of a request made by the District Educational Directorate to address furniture deficit in schools in the district and noted that the initiative is the second batch of distributing school desks within 4 months by the Assembly.
The Kadjebi Educational Directorate thanked the DCE and the Assembly for the kind gesture indicating that the desks would go a long way to solve issues of congestion in classrooms due to insufficient desks and improve concentration on the part of pupils to attain academic excellence.
They assured that the directorate will distribute the furniture fairly and also ensure that they are well maintained.
