ATEBUBU: BAC presents start-up kits to 24
The Atebubu-Amantin municipal office of the Business Advisory Centre BAC has presented start-up kits to 24 artisans in Atebubu.

Three auto mechanics, 5 small engine mechanics, 1 beekeeper, 4 dressmakers, 2 hairdressers and 6 masons benefitted from the items with three others also receiving kits for rabbitary, welding as well as carpentry and joinery.
Welcoming beneficiaries, the municipal head of the BAC, Mr. Isaac Oppong said beneficiaries were selected from successful National Vocational Training Institute NVTI examination candidates in the last 2 years.
He said the items were jointly funded by the Rural Enterprises Programme, the Atebubu-Amantin municipal assembly and the Member Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency Hon. Kofi Amoakohene.
The Atebubu-Amantin municipal chief executive Hon. Edward Owusu reiterated governments desire to create employment avenues for the people especially the youth stressing that all activities of the assembly will be geared towards the attainment of this objective.
He urged beneficiaries to put the tools to good use by working hard in order to improve their individual well-being and that of their families.
The Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency Hon. Kofi Amoakohene said his gesture is in consonance with the ruling New Patriotic Party’s objective of making the private sector the engine of growth adding that he will continue to support initiatives that will create jobs for the youth.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to government and other benefactors for the opportunity that they hoped will make them both productive and self-dependent.
Representatives of the local association of small scale industries led by its chairman Mr. Asante Addo graced the occasion.
The function was chaired by Nana Osei Gyan Ababio II, Kyidomhene of the Atebubu traditional area.
