FANTEAKWA: Boost for cassava farmers under 1D1F
Cassava farmers in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region have a brighter day ahead, not only to increase production but also ready market to offload their products.

This follows the announcement of a cassava processing factoring which is in the offing for the district as part of government’s industrialization policy of “One district, one factory”.
The factory to be established at Aburasu community is on course according to the District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Charles Oware- Tweneboah.
He indicated that though the assembly in trying to fulfill the “one district, one factory policy linked up with two private sector players, namely Messrs Spring Valley Company Limited and Asikess Ventures, one of them got the opportunity to establish the factory and has done a lot in actualizing the project.
“I have taken keen interest in this project and have personally visited the area to examine number of acres for the factory and the cassava plantations that will feed the factory”, the DCE stated.
He has also given indication that investor has assured that the venture will be successful, adding that all things been equal, they will be able to secure some tonnage of starch from the factory.
