Mr Appiah Kubi was fortunate in securing a 100% votes from the assembly members held in Mampong during the first round.

It was a beautiful atmosphere when the immediate former Municipal Chief Executive of the Mampong appeared from nowhere throwing his weight behind his successor to the admiration of all particularly because he belong to the opposition National Democratic Congress.

He took the stage and appealed to the assembly members to support the nominee with their votes since he is a suitable candidate for the position.

There was therefore wild jubilation among the assembly members and supporters of the nominee following his 100 percent confirmation.

Mr. Appiah Kubi who did not hide his joy expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people for accepting him and asked for total collaboration from all stakeholders to enable growth and development in the municipality.

Council of State Member, Nana Owusu  Achiaw Brempong, the Municipal coordinating director Mr Padmore Mensah, MP Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum Sarpong, PM and the former MCE were all present to grace the occasion.
