Former President Mahama visits Kintampo North

Former President, John Dramani Mahama accompanied by a number of National Executives of the National Democratic Congress including the party Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Women’s Organizer, Dr. Louisa Hannah Bisiw, the National Organizer, Joshua Akamba and National Vice Chairman, Sofo Azorka visited the Kintampo North Municipality.

He was led into the Municipality by the Regional Chairman, Alhaji Unaco, acting Kintampo North Constituency Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Alhassan and other Regional and constituency executives.

Mr. John Mahama and his entourage began their visit in Bulumpe where they paid visits to chiefs and opinion leaders before addressing a mini rally at the Gulumpe School Park and cut tape to commission a meeting place for all party faithfuls in Gulumpe known as the “common room”.

The former President was also conferred with a tile as Kenyitiwala (Ntoboasehene) which means chief of patience by the Gulumpehene, Nana Adam Shie.



Their next port of call was the Kyeremankoma Chief’s palace where the former president thanked him for his support and role played in the realization of the Bono-East Region. He asked for the chief guidance and prayers as he ventures into election 2020. The Kyeremankomahene on the other hand pledged his support for him.


                     Tape Cut “common room” for the Party Faithfulls in Gulumpe

Nana Abobirim Yaw Dompo III, acting President of the Mo Traditional Council was next to receive Mr. John Mahama at his palace.

The former President said he was there to thank him and his people for popularly acclaiming the Bono-East Region, to call for their support and guidance into election 2020 and to interact with party faithful’s and executives. The acting president thanked him for coming and asked him to complete the Kintampo New longoro road, the Kintampo-Busuama-Soronuase road and Kintampo Town roads which had all stalled since he left office in 2017. He also called for the creation of another district with Mo town and villages.

At Nana Fanyinama’s palace, the president of the Kintampo Council of Zongo Chiefs and National Council of Wangara Chiefs thanked Mr Mahama for all the developmental works carried during his tenure and called for much more if he eventually get re-election.
Islamic prayers were said for him.

The climax of his visit was a mini rally at the Kintampo Community Centre where scores of National Democratic Congress supporters, past and present party executive members and people from all walks of life converged to listen to the former president.

National Women Organizer Dr. Louisa Hannah Bisiw Giving her Speech


Dr. Louisa Hannah Bisiw lamented the collapse of banks in the current regime, security challenges, kidnappings and lack of sales for cashew while asking the crowed to vote out the government in 2020.

The National chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo energized the crowed with his charts and songs amidst praises for the former president before calling on him to address the gathering.

Former President John Dramani called for calm and unity during and after the incoming parliament primaries, adding that, “While supporting your candidate, remember to rally around whoever is victorious”.

John Mahama noted that, it was a bitter experience to loose election 2016 but it was the will of God and an opportunity for variance. To taste water and alcohol and to tell the difference. He asked all to be wary of deception and ties with which his opponent rode to power, citing the DKM scandal which was attributed to him and the former first lady.
