DAFFAIMA BUSSIE ISSA: DCE visits Planting for Food and Jobs farms
Daffiama Bussie Issa District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Imoro Nadi Sanda has said that the Assembly is bent on ensuring the success of the Planting for Food and Jobs programme in the area.

The DCE said this when joined a team of assembly members to visit some of the farms in the area.
The team inspected 26 hectares of farm land at Daffiama Moyiri, 1 hectare of Soya beans demonstration farm at Ullo, 1 hectare of groundnut Sumnut 22 and Gel variety demonstration farm at Dakyie.
Speaking in an 9interview, the DCE noted that over 3,500 farmers across the district are undertaking the program against 1,017 farmer last year, which he said 54,000 of fertilizer have been allocated to the district to support the program.
He was hopeful that the planting for food will help improve food insecurity and income level of the farmers in the area.
The Agric director, Mr Abdulia Sibril on his part, disclosed that the ministry has procured and will soon distribute appropriate chemicals to help the fight against fall Army worms which destroyed several farm lands last year.
He said farmers were also sensitized to enable early detection of the attack of the worm in their farms.
A forty five (45) year old farmer, Francis Toglayeng, lauded the planting for food and jobs program initiative by Government.
He described the program as helpful to farmers in the district and thus urged other farmers join the programme.
