It was explained that the late President  played a role to ensure thatthe bypass which connect the Suhum/Koforidua road  to the Suhum Town/Hospital road was constructed after being on the drawing board for over 40 years.

Speaking to the GNA Mr Samuel Fletcher Kwabi, the Municipal Chief Executive, said  

the bypass named HE. PROF. E. A MILLS BP has helped ease congestion in Suhum.

He said the project, which was estimated at Gh¢ 14,000,000.00, was constructed at the cost of GH¢178,000.00 because of the use of local materials.

Other people honoured through the street naming exercise by the Suhum Municipal Assembly include ,  Hon Awuku Darko street named after the former Presiding Member of the Assembly,Nana Ayeh Kofi St,named after the chief of Suhum Amoah Awuah St, Air Marshal Bruce St, named after the former Air Force Commander.

The Assembly has named every street in Suhum ahead of the street naming deadline.
