French Embassy supports Girls’ club in central Tongu

The Girl Child and women empowerment Program (GLOWDEP) in some schools in the central Tongu Districts has taken off.

The project which seeks to monitor and strengthen the existing Girls clubs established by GLOWDEP through the support of the French Embassy in Ghana has been supporting Global Women Development promoters to build the confidence of girls to pursue career choices.

The Central Tongu District Assembly in collaboration with the Ghana Education service(GES) and the French Embassy as strategy towards the sustainability of Girls’ clubs has organized a Trainer of Trainees (TOT) workshop for school Based facilitators of Girls ‘club from 37 Basic and senior High Schools from the area.

Attendance was the District Chief Executive of the area Mr. Thomas Moore Zonyrah, queen mothers, officials from the GES, headmasters from various schools, Girls’ club facilitators among others.
