At the first round of voting, Mr Moses Appiah Agana of the Binaba electoral area, polled 33 votes while Mr Jacob Kobina Atinga of the Yeliwoko electoral area polled 16 votes at the first round making them both unsuccessful.
During the second round of voting, Mr Agana polled 30 votes while Mr Atinga got 18 votes, and this was not enough to secure the position for either member.
Both candidates said they would do their best to fight corruption, de-forestation, promote revenue mobilization and project the decentralized concept of governance in the Assembly.
Mr David Na-ire, the Coordinating Director of the Assembly, urged the assembly members to forge unity and ensure that the work of the assembly progresses.
He urged the assembly members to see their role as crucial to the development of the area.
Mr Na-ire said there is the need to team up and form a formidable force that would elect a hard working person to lead the Assembly, saying work on vital projects of the assembly had come to a halt due to the absence of a Presiding Member.
The house rescheduled the election to a later date.
