The project is to augment classrooms at the Methodist Basic School in the municipality.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Wilkson said the Assembly would also provide a six-classroom block at Nsakina and another one at Afuaman to enhance school enrollment in the area.

He said the government through the Free Senior High School policy had reduced the burden of education and called on parents to enroll their children in school instead of engaging them in farming activities.

Mr Wilkson advised school children to take their lessons seriously to come out with good grades, that would enable them to further their education and also become useful assets to their communities and the nation as a whole.

Mr Jimi Foster Donkor, the Municipal Works Engineer warned the people to stop encroaching on the school lands, while appealing to the traditional authorities to provide more lands for developmental projects.
