A dream they believed in, and nurtured which indeed gave them some significant improvement over the few years of existence as a district as attested to by the chief of the area who did not hide his joy and appreciation and commended the president highly for delivering on his promises.

Without mincing words, the chief acknowledged the fact that development has been evenly distributed in the district and that there was no traditional area that has not been provided with one project or the other.

Projects that ranges from chps centres, modern classroom blocks, roads toilet facilities, boreholes , rural electrification, police station, fire station, community centres and district assembly block complex among others.

And now the President Mr. John Dramani Mahama has hinted of plans to build district hospital for the district to serve as referral health facility to promote the general wellbeing of the people.

The announcement which received thunderous applause and cheers from the people fit well into their future expectations from government.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE for the area, Mr. Solomon Kuyon said he was not entirely surprised about the announcement because they were long informed that with the wind of new district hospitals being built in areas without one, the Krachi Nchumuru would be given one, so the president’s announcement just affirm that promise to them.

He also added that the people have readied themselves to welcome the development by securing land which is over 30 thousand acres.

According to him, “just as the establishment of the community day senior high school has come to salvage the area from the educational problem, the district hospital would also salvage the health related problems in the area”.

He was also optimistic that these major projects would open up the district for improved economic activities.
