The Municipal Chief Executive, Clement Wilkinson in his address tasked the assembly members to be good servants to their respective communities due to tasks given to them. He urged them to attend every meeting when called upon.

Again, they have to ensure the communities understand the governance of the assembly to its core in order to foster growth in the municipality.

The Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Madam Elizabeth Sackey who spoke on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana congratulated the members and called for transparent and accountable leadership at the local level to impel development.

She stated that the assembly should create a platform for stakeholders such as town hall meetings and general community engagement in order to bring governance closer to the people.

She urged assembly members to work in close collaboration with metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs) to deliver the leadership that will benefit the people.

The assembly, however, failed to elect a Presiding Member who will preside over all assembly proceedings after a second round of the election.
