The three persons who filed for the position included Hon Kwame Kusi Agyekum, the assembly member for Anyanso Electoral Area,  Hon. Daniel Acheamfour the assembly member for Nsueam II  Electoral Area and Hon. Patrick kwaku Frimpong the assembly member for Dagyanso electoral Area.   

Hon. Kwame Kusi Agyekum withdrawn from the race after the first round of voting. The second round however, could not produce a win. After a 5 munities break, Hon. Daniel Acheamfour step down for  Hon. Patrick kwaku Frimpong to go unopposed. 

He pulled 26 “YES” votes as against 4 “NO”. He was sworn in into office by the magistrate court judge Mrs.  Magdalene Thompson.

Addressing his colleagues after the elections, Hon. Frimpong promised to unite the assembly for the smooth running of their operations. The MP advised his colleagues’ assembly members to be committed to their work and help the assembly to achieve its aims and objectives of improving the lives of the people.
