DCE charges citizens not to be charity dependents
The District Chief Executive of Nabdam Assembly, Agnes Anamoo, who is credited with introducing an early childhood centre at Zanlerigu as a teacher before becoming a District Chief Executive, has advised the community not to remain “beggars” to the world during the 61st anniversary speech day.

This was in connection with a fund-raising durbar which was organized in the district to develop an institution, but disappointingly, the expected crowd did not show up.
“We want to build a Ghana that would properly manage its own resources as a way to bring about the desired social and economic growth to its people. We do not want to remain beggars of the world nor charity dependents" she added.
The DCE who also spoke on the national theme for the event; “Putting Ghana Beyond Aid” said habits such as absenteeism, lateness, laziness, dishonesty and unproductive use of working hours must be broken.
She said this calls for attitudinal change to our ways of doing things and that, once we change ourselves, there is no limit to what we can do. We must draw a stronger linkage between responsibility and growing opportunities.
