EJURA: New government appointees take office

Nineteen new government appointees to the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly have been sworn into office on Monday, 6th February, 2017.

The swearing-in which was led by his Lordship Justice Nana Owusu Sekyere was done at a meeting presided over by the Municipal Coordinating Director Alhaji Hafiz Adam.

The 19 members make up the constitutionally mandated 30% government appointees to the Assembly.

The Presiding Member, Hon. Nti Agyekum advised the government appointees to be committed to their work and help the Assembly to achieve its aims and objectives of improving the lives of the people.

The change in government affected the appointment of previous government appointees whose appointments were revoked by the President Nana Addo led government.

The Assembly Members also elected Hon. Nti Agyekum as the new Presiding Member for the assembly.
