The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to improving infrastructure and accelerating socio-economic development across the district.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Musah Abdul Rashid, revealed that the projects span key sectors such as education, health, roads, and water and sanitation.

According to him, the funding from the DACF has been strategically allocated to areas that have long required critical attention to improve the quality of life for residents.

“We have carefully prioritized these projects based on the pressing needs of our communities. Our goal is to ensure equitable development that touches every part of the district,” the DCE stated.

Some of the projects currently underway include the construction and rehabilitation of school buildings, the provision of mechanized boreholes to address water shortages in rural communities, the upgrading of feeder roads to improve access, and the expansion of health facilities to support quality healthcare delivery.

Musah Abdul Rashid expressed optimism that most of the projects will be completed by December this year, with some already at various stages of completion. He emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, effective project monitoring, and community involvement to ensure successful implementation.
