The DCE seized the opportunity to re-emphasize on the Assembly's decision not to increase various taxes paid by the market women and traders for the usage of the facility. "The Assembly has taken notice of some falsehood peddled by some people concerning purported increment in taxes by our beloved market women and traders. I wish to state categorically without mincing words as the head of the Assembly that there will be no such increments for this calendar year. Traders are admonished to calm down and not dwell in fear and panic. Again, there will be no increments” She said
Madam Amissah made it known to them that the Assembly is concerned about the maintenance of the market, hence various renovations will be done this year.
The traders and market women thanked the Assembly for the exercise and called for more in the coming days.
