According to the MCE the current office being used by the audit service is limited in space thus restricting movement hence the decision to provide the service with a more suitable facility.

He indicated that though initially there was issue with land he was able to intervene and the project was relocated to its current place at Fesi close to the new Municipal Assembly complex also under construction.

He stated that the contractor has completed the block works.

Meanwhile the Assembly has completed the Divisional Police head office at Agudzi with painting and everything done except for the fact that water and electricity is yet to be extended to the facility for official opening.

But the MCE said they have reached out to the Ghana Water Company Limited and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), but looking at how isolated the place is from town, the cost involved is rather on the high side, as such the Assembly is waiting until they are able to raise some funds to ensure those things are done to enable the officers to move in.

Like the Municipal Assembly office itself, the current office of the Divisional Police head office belongs to the Urban Roads and about 3-4 offices are in a single room which is not the best.
