The Disbursement of 3% Common Fund to Persons With Disability

The Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly has disbursed its three per cent common fund worth Sixty Three Thousand Three Hundred Ghana Cedis and Twelve Pesewas (GHC63,300.12) to 35 persons with disability in the Municipality at the Assembly’s head office.

The Municipal Chief Executive Hajia Salma Mohammed Sanni Adams Kuta said the donation was to enhance the livelihood of PWDs in the area of Education, Health and Socio Economic activities.

Hon MCE delivering her speech The Hon MCE stated that the government with its care for persons with disability and the need to enhance their social image through dignify labour has increased the share of the district assembly common fund from two per cent to three per cent in other to capture more persons with disability in various metropolitans, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAS) in quarterly bases, she mentioned.
